Camp One Safety

At Camp One, we want your camper to have the BEST time. However, we also want to make sure that they are kept safe while they are here!

We have outlined a few of our safety precautions that are implemented anytime campers are on the property.

Evacuation Plan

There is an evacuation plan that is in place for a number of different instances:

  • High River/Flooding- There are multiple enclosed structures that are located on higher ground. Our security team also monitors the river levels throughout the night.
  • Severe Weather
  • Critical Emergency/Threat- Camp One has 24/7 security personnel on site anytime campers are present.

All of our staff, interns, and volunteers are thoroughly trained on how to handle each of these extreme situations.

Medical Situations

Camp One has a licensed nurse present and on staff anytime campers are on the grounds. Camp One also has reliable wifi connection and a satellite phone for communication in emergencies.

Health/Food Safety

Camp One property and the commercial kitchen facilities at Camp One are appropriately inspected. We are proud to say that we have received a 100 score since opening.

River Safety

ALL individuals (campers, interns, volunteers, etc.) who get in the river to swim or tube are required to wear a life jackets.

Camp One holds a current and up to date summer camp permit for the state of Tennessee.
